The National Association of Convenience Stores and Gasoline Retailers Convention ranks as one of the 50 largest annual trade shows in the United States. This year’s NACS’ conference proved no exception with over 22,000 retailers attending from a record 58 countries.
“Convenience store in-store sales grew over 4 percent in 2010, reaching a record $190.4 billion”, says Carmanah Sign’s Business Development Manager, Scott Christensen. “Our LED point of purchase signs provide our clients with unique and brilliant ways to attract customers and increase sales.
This year at NACS we launched our LCD point-of-sale solutions and received glowing accolades from not only retailers but also the major food and beverage brands who also visited our booth.”
Carmanah’s coolest new LCD products allow Retailers and Brands to attract and engage customers and drive sales. “Our LCD solutions provide a great way to communicate product features, promotions and benefits right at the point of sale” says Scott Christensen. “60% of unplanned purchases are made at the point of purchase or shelf level.
Our pop signage solutions can be placed where you want them, at the cash register, integrated with your existing fixturing or mounted into custom millwork.” Carmanah’s LCD solutions are zone-capable (up to 6 zones) to feature different product promotions and incentives throughout the day and week. Carmanah’s LCDs also include an LED faceplate which can be uniquely branded blending the power of brilliant static images with engaging digital content.
“After soliciting extensive input from our retail and major brand clients, we’ve packed a ton of functionality into our LCD solutions. We’ve designed a digital sign that meets all the form and function requirements for the retail environment, including compatibility with any future networked digital signage systems.” JP, VP Product Development, Carmanah Signs.
LCD available early 2010.

This year was one of the most successful shows for Carmanah Signs in the 13 years of exhibiting at G2E. As G2E moved to the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, it was not only a new beginning for the show but felt like a new beginning for Carmanah as well. Carmanah’s booth was eye-catching from the start, from the overall design of the booth to the array of innovative illuminated LED signs and LCD signs on display. Carmanah Signs even made the Las Vegas Sun paper, seen here setting up a wall mural of LED Illuminated Light Panels.
Carmanah also unveiled two new casino signs at the show this year, a sophisticated LCD table limit sign called the Vegas and a stylish LED table limit sign called the Petite, which both drew a lot of attention.
The new Vegas LCD table limit sign is a sophisticated LCD Table Limit sign with powerful promotional capabilities. We have listened to the Table Game Manager’s needs and really delivered an exceptional sign.
“After soliciting extensive input from our casino customers, we’ve packed a ton of functionality into the Vegas. We’ve designed a sign that meets all the form and function requirements for a modern casino, including compatibility with any future networked digital signage systems.” JP, VP product Development, Carmanah Signs
The new Petite table limit sign is, just as the name suggests, Carmanah’s most compact sign, designed to allow clear sight lines throughout the pit. The Petite has all the elegant LED beauty of its big brother, the Classic.
Both Table Limits signs will be available early 2012.
